BREAKING: “YOU’RE NEXT!” – Leicester in Secret Crash Talks to AXE Power Chief as Rowett Demands FIRST VICTIM

Leicester City already in talks to agree first big change for Rowett in huge Rudkin shake-up

With Gary Rowett signed and sealed, Leicester City have immediately kicked off discussions to welcome another influential figure as Jon Rudkin looks to complete an immediate restructure.

Rowett “proud” to join Leicester
With the Foxes sat in the relegation zone and two points off safety following their point deduction, to say that Rowett has a tough job on his hands would be an understatement.

The former Stoke City boss simply must hit the ground running and has the chance to do exactly that against his old side in the Championship this weekend.

Victory could lift Leicester out of the bottom three, making an immediate impression if results go their way. Defeat, meanwhile, could leave them as many as five points adrift of safety.

Speaking for the first time since joining the club, Rowett told reporters: “I’m really proud to be the new Leicester City Manager and to have the opportunity to work with and lead a really talented group over the coming months.

“It’s very clear to us all what needs to be achieved between now and the end of the season and the work begins immediately. I’m looking forward to building connections with the players, with the staff at the Club and with the fans – all of which will be vital to helping us secure the results we need.”

Club chairman Aiyawatt Srivaddhanaprabha also added: “Gary is a manager with deep knowledge of the Championship and experience of the situation we now face in these final 14 games of the season – a fight for survival in the division.

“It is a task on which the entire Club is focused, and we will provide Gary with every support to help us find the solutions we need.”

That support looks set to begin straight away, with those at the King Power already in negotiations to finalise their first move for their new manager.

Leicester in talks to hire James McCarron
Before Rowett, Leicester were a side staring down the barrel of relegation without a manager and without a sporting director. Now, after sorting one of those urgent matters, they’re working on resolving the latter.

According to Football Insider, Leicester are now in negotiations to appoint James McCarron as their new sporting director as club chief Rudkin aims to complete a major shake-up behind the scenes.

Part of the City Football Group, McCarron is currently the director of player development and was previously the sporting director at Lommel SK – a club owned by the same group as Manchester City.

The Leicester candidate has also spent time at Sunderland as their head of performance, as well as at the Premier League as an elite performance manager. His track record speaks for itself.

McCarron’s potential arrival will also ease the strain on Rudkin to make sporting decisions. The Leicester chief has come under fire in the last two seasons and desperately needs to hand over some of the responsibility.
