Harry Winks’ time at Leicester City has been filled with friction. Thanks to the extension, Blackwell added that any fee exceeding £2.5m would aid the club’s battle with Profit and Sustainability regulations. Leicester, of course, were handed a points deduction earlier in the season due to these very rules, meaning any incoming fee for Winks could prove vital. Furthermore, with the likes of Jordan Ayew, Patson Daka and Ricardo Pereira all out of contract, generating any sort of profit represents a significant boost.
How Does This Impact Leicester City?
If the Foxes endure back-to-back relegations, then Winks will almost certainly be on his way, particularly given his conduct throughout this season. He headed straight down the tunnel following the defeat at Preston and clashed with the coaching staff, along with certain teammates.
